CITY SLICKER STYLIN

With my continuos love for New York City comes this Taxi tee from Zara I just HAD to get it, and what happens when you buy new clothes you love and meet up with a fellow fashion blogger? Yup you got that right, Photo Styling comes about aka a PHOTOSHOOT :)

I met up with Shabana from The Silver Kick Diaries and before dinner we decided to have a mini shoot of our outfits and her cool convertible. I wore the Zara tee like I mentioned above, with a Mango Blazer and Skinny Jeans from Stradivarius. I also wore a beaded collar on top of the tee which I bought at the Autumn Fair last month. Collars have become a fave for me, it can instantly bring an outfit alive! Think about it, without the collar my outfit would have just been a jeans, top and blazer kinda outfit. I highly suggest investing in cool collars ;)

Loved the lil edge the beaded collar gave to the outfit, I just like to mix different elements when putting outfits together, don't you?

Queen of the concrete jungle *rawr*

When shooting in the convertible I went for a different feel with my Marilyn Monroe Scarf, I wanted a vintage feel like the old days when women would ride around with scarves on their heads and big shades (since it was night time I couldn't really put shades on but I do have another shoot in mind which will def include shades and you'll love it!)

DESIGNER TO WATCH - NONOO

Stumbled upon this designer and just had to share!

The brand has created a vast celebrity following that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Blake Lively, Pippa Middleton, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Jessica Parker amongst others, and Misha has been named one of the top new designers to watch by publications such as W, Elle and T Magazine, the New York Times style magazine. In 2012, Fashion Group International awarded the Rising Star Award to Misha for Women’s Ready-to-Wear.

Misha Nonoo’s vision has always been to design collections with a timeless allure that encompass a couture sensibility for everyday life. Her eyes have been trained by a life of rich cultural experiences, woven together to create a truly innovative design vision.

Love the styles! and how cool is it that she grew up in Bahrain!

Growing up in Bahrain, Misha was exposed to a world of vibrant colors, where trips to the Arabian souks were routine. As a teenager, Misha moved to London and became fascinated with classic bespoke tailoring and while in Paris learned the importance of luxe fabrics and subtle distinguishable details. In 2010, Misha brought all of these experiences together and launched her eponymous collection, Nonoo, in New York City’s Garment District.

BIRTHDAY BLUES

Hello Luvies,

Yes you read that right Birthday Blues! But not blues as in depressed blues but blues as in on my outfit! Another year another birthday but this time it's in Bahrain! For the past 5 years I've been living out of Bahrain therefore have not been able to celebrate it with friends and family here, not this year though. For my birthday I went to brunch at Riffa Views with my lovely parents then we decided to check out Al Basta Market. A little market by Riffa Views showcasing local business's that runs on weekends. They change the business's on the stalls every few months to give other business's a chance to showcase their things. Alas it's a very cute little setting, I recommend you to go have a look for yourself.

Ok back to my outfit, when shopping for a birthday outfit I was drawn to the color blue, I don't know why, I just was! So when putting an outfit together while shopping, it was very easy for me to put a look together as everything that was catching my eye was BLUE! I went for a navy blue gem printed dress with blue suede heels from Zara and a beautiful pearls and stones necklace and pearl bracelet from Seham's Collection. I loved the look! it was classy, elegant and cute.

how cute is this? love the colorful fake leaves!

We went to visit my sis after our lil basta market adventure and I put my lime flats on, had to rest my feet a lil bit :)

And finally my balloons!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them! My sis, owner of BalloonCreationz created them for me and I just LOVE them, the colors, the details! How cute is she for putting New York and the empire state building on one of the balloons? and the ballon weight is a sparkly HEEL, super cute!

And my lovely Fashionable earrings gifted by my bestie and her hubby, LOVE them, they're sooo me <3

And that wraps up my birthday celebrations, I leave you with my blue suede heels ;)

I PUT HEARTS OVER THE CITY

Hello Luvies,

If you may or not know, February is my month. It's the month I was born in, its the month with Valentines Day but most importantly it's the month where New York Fashion Week takes place! So when going for my weekly polish change I wanted to go for something different, I wanted nail art but none of those typical Valentines Day Nails, so I created my own, I went to my fave Dinora Rivera Beauty Salon in Amwaj, Lagoon and drew out what I wanted on my nails. I decided I wanted the New York Skyline with a heart instead of a moon and on another nail I wanted a heel. Basically the skyline and heel are in honor of New York Fashion Week and the heart is for Valentines Day, now I went a step ahead in my manicure process and decided I wanted my other nails to be just polish with China Glaze's For Audrey, Of course for THE Fashion Icon Audrey Hepburn. I am happy to say I LOVE my nails! It's exactly what I wanted, Take a look! and I've also added a few of my other manicures that I've done at Dinora Rivera Beauty Salon, I honestly recommend them, their nail art is on point!

Forgot to mention that I added the glitter polish representing the glitz and glam of the fashion world ;)
