ON CAMPUS ARREST

Hey Luvies,

Sorry I've disappeared from the blog world, since its my last semester in fashion school, I currently have finals and finals in fashion school means sewing an evening gown! So till my dress is done I will be on Campus Arrest till further notice. Peep a stressed out, exhausted, sleepless Reem working on her term garment oo and my sidekick Silvia on the bottom. How GORGEOUS did Demi Lovato look at the Teen Choice Awards wearing a Falguni + Shane Peacock dress and Christian Louboutin heels? Aaah I only recently saw these pics of her and she looks FLAWLESS. The hair, the makeup, and the dress is just wow! I LOVE IT! What do you guys think?

BROOKLYN EXPLORATIONS

Pre-Sandy I spent a day exploring Brooklyn, Williamsburg to be exact, and I saw the coolest things around me which of course I had to snap. I have always wanted to explore Brooklyn and since school was canceled because of Hurricane Sandy I finally had time to. Take a look at my snaps

Ok this shot was such a blast from the past! it was PERFECT! As I was taking a pic of the cool hotel this vintage car comes driving by and with a lil black and white and vignette BAM this is the result! Im telling you I loved the feeling like I was in the 50's for a few seconds

Loved these Puerto Rican Pride Walls they had every Puerto Rican thing: El Morro, El Coqui, Amapola, the BEACH and of course dominos lol it aint Puerto Rico without the dominos haha i love PR

SPRING 2013 INSPIRATION

With the hurricane recoveries and school out for 3 days I am taking this time to work on my Spring/Summer 2013 Illustration Collection. My inspiration is Tropical, lots of blues and lime greens and aqua.

PRE & POST HURRICANE SANDY

Monday morning streets were empty, it's weird as this is usually a busy street

As you already know I live in NYC, I had to deal with Hurricane Sandy. Im safe thank god and had no problem with electricity but I know many people have been affected by this hurricane with floodings and power outages and people who have lost their lives, it's a tragic time here in NYC, I took some pics pre and post the hurricane so take a look.

The city was pretty much quiet and dead

so crazy pics came about

my roommate Sarah

and then we were craving ice cream

even the postal police wanted a pic lol

Then things started to get real serious, tuesday classes got canceled too

Power went out around my area, street lights and traffic lights were out, it was kinda scary for the city of lights to be so dark

and wednesday is off too now, its cuz the subway systems aren't running people who live in Brooklyn, Queens and Jersey can't really get to campus 

Post-Sandy the streets are busy again but everything is still closed

except for souvenir shops of course 

All the people standing outside the closed Starbucks for wifi (since most people lost power and internet)

This is the most action Ive seen so far around my neighborhood lol not so serious but I know other areas are bad

Prayers go out to those affected by Hurricane Sandy
