Hackett Rising Stars SS14 Window Campaign

Hello Luvies,

I was invited to style Hackett's window display along with fellow blogger Ali Al Bana from The Sartoriali and Muneera Al Khalifa from VoguishM for the launch of Hackett's Spring Summer 2014 collection! We began by creating a mood board for the mood of our mannequin then previewed the collection, picking pieces that go with our mood to style our mannequin. My mannequin was The Time Traveller. My look was inspired by the classic vintage era of the 1920's, where most men would travel to find a job in the city. They would be gone for days and would usually travel with their luggage in the form of wooden boxes covered with leather. The 1920's man was constantly well groomed and dressed neatly.

I leave you with my mood board and photos from the event.

Styled my mannequin with a bow tie of course and one extra bow just for style,
topped it all of with a black Top Hat for Mr. Time Traveller.

AMINA GALLERY OPENING

Hello Luvies,

I was invited to the opening of Amina Gallery by the lovely owner herself Amina Al Abbasi. Amina was with me in high school and she was an artist since then, painting away during IB Art Class. I love how she has continued and prospered and succeeded. I'm so proud of her for everything that she has accomplished including this beautiful gallery. Amina showcases her art pieces as well as home accessories and canvas bags and phone cases. All pieces have her talented art on them. I love her style of art and how everything is presented, the gallery is definitely a must visit. It is located in Riyadat Mall in Aali, the store is right by the entrance so you won't miss it. I leave you with photos from the event :)

I bought a tray for my sister for her birthday and she loved it! I love how the colors are funky :)

Wish you all the best Amina and looking forward to more talented art pieces :)

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE FASHION SHOW 2013

Hey Luvies,

I was invited to attend the Saks Fifth Avenue Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Show and what a show it was! The event was very well organized, from the reception to the lighting and the runway. It was definitely a success! Amongst the designer clothing on the runway was Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Celine, Louboutin and Tadashi Shoji. The show featured both female and male ensembles modeled on a runway in the Saks Fifth Avenue store at City Centre. It was definitely a successful event! I also caught up with my fellow bloggers after the event who were all dressed so fabulously. I wore the shift dress from my Resort 2014 Collection paired with white heels and a white clutch. I leave you with the photos :)

Dealing with the Ohlala Team was such a breeze, they were extremely professional from the interview to the photo shoot to the communication between us and the great spread! Honestly I can say I loved working with them. Glad everything turned out so well.

In my interview I talk about how I started and what fashion is to me including how I get inspired. Also, one of my fashion illustrations gets its first fashion magazine debut! Check them out below! P.s. The pants I'm wearing is from my collection :)

MENSWEAR INSPIRED REEM BOWQAIS - EID DAY 2

Hello Luvies,

For the 2nd day of Eid I wore a menswear inspired outfit complete with a bow tie that I stitched myself! I loved my resorts' collection print fabric so much and since I had a few scraps I decided to make a bow tie. I found it really easy to make the bow tie and ended up making a few more. It was an awesome outfit and I got many compliments on it, especially the bow tie :)

I wore a light blue H&M blouse with the bow tie that I stitched myself, hot pink Zara cigarette pants, white Stradivarius heels and a Collard Manson clutch. For accessories I wore my colorful Haraka watch and some simple accessories to compliment the outfit.

STYLING AT SAKS FIFTH AVENUE VIDEO

Hello Luvies,

A few weeks back I blogged about how a bunch of bahrain's bloggers and fashion forward people were invited to preview the new Fall/Winter collection at Saks Fifth Avenue as well as enjoy styling a mannequin, I leave you now with the video :)

STYLING AT SAKS FIFTH AVENUE

Hello Luvies,

This Sunday I as well as fellow bloggers were invited by Saks Fifth Avenue to preview the new Fall/Winter Collections that have arrived in store, I was also invited to style a mannequin that was to be displayed in the store, how fun! Upon arriving at the event I was greeted by the saks team and offered some refreshments and canapés. I was then told to partner up with a fellow blogger to style a mannequin, and since I did so well with Georgina (Blonde in Bahrain) during Bahrain's Top Stylist, I partnered up with her for this! It was a fun time as Georgina was filming for MyBahrain, so make sure you check out the video next week, you'll probably see me rummaging through racks and such.

We decided to dress our mannequin in plum tailored pants by The Row, beigey pink blouse and heels by Alexander McQueen, a beautiful blue bejeweled gold statement necklace by Mawi London, a floral Valentino scarf and a YSL cross-body bag. We had different options in mind as you'll see from the photos below but we finalized on this one, It's an elegant, chic ensemble for the modern yet stylish woman.

This was kinda our first ensemble, we didn't think it was working out too well, although I LOVE the Jacket!
This is our final ensemble :)
Blouse: Alexander McQueen - Statement Necklace: Mawi London - Scarf: Valentino
Cross-body bag: YSL
Tailored Pants: The Row - Heels: Alexander McQueen
Loved how our names were printed and placed by the mannequins! =D

Group Shot!
We were each given goody bags with fabulous cosmetics and such and a hand written note! Perfection :)

And there you have it, a fun night of fashion and styling!
xoxo, PIFFY
