CLOTHES-MINDED REEM BUQAIS-RIVERA

Hello Luvies,

Amongst attending events I had a lovely lunch with The Sartoriali at Lilou's and what happens when Fashion Bloggers meet up? Yup you got it! Outfit Shoots! I wore an all white ensemble with my signature pop of color. Ali photographed me wearing the cropped top and peplum from my Resort 2014 collection as well as Zara cigarette pants and Stradivarius Heels. How cool is my background? I love the artsy atmosphere in Adliya, seriously never a dull moment there. Check out the photos below!

MENSWEAR INSPIRED REEM BOWQAIS - EID DAY 2

Hello Luvies,

For the 2nd day of Eid I wore a menswear inspired outfit complete with a bow tie that I stitched myself! I loved my resorts' collection print fabric so much and since I had a few scraps I decided to make a bow tie. I found it really easy to make the bow tie and ended up making a few more. It was an awesome outfit and I got many compliments on it, especially the bow tie :)

I wore a light blue H&M blouse with the bow tie that I stitched myself, hot pink Zara cigarette pants, white Stradivarius heels and a Collard Manson clutch. For accessories I wore my colorful Haraka watch and some simple accessories to compliment the outfit.

ARABIAN PRINCESS FOR THE DAY - EID DAY 1

Hello Luvies,

Today's post name is thanks to 3 year old Sofia who ran up to me saying "princesa!" and gave me a big hug, cutest little girl ever! So if you've been following me on instagram which you should be if you're not @reembuqaisrivera :) You'd have already seen my outfit's for all 3 days of eid, but this post has more pics and ofcourse the details!

I wore two pieces from my Resort 2014 collection: The beautiful purple linen cropped top with sheer tulle cutout on the back and purple tulle skirt. For accessories I went with a gold BCBGMaxazria headpiece and a gold necklace from Forever 21 with some gold bracelets.

Cute Sofia who ended up wearing her crown and wand so she can look like a princess too :)

ICE CREAM IN MY ESPRESSO

Denim and Pastels were my outfit of choice for yet another Fashion Outing with my fashionista friend. We had lunch at Dome then proceeded to feed horses at a stable. And yes if you're wondering about the title of the post, I had ice cream in my espresso. Dome has a variety of different coffees and drinks to choose from and one which I could not pass trying is 2 shots of espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! It's as yummy as it sounds and you should definitely go and try it, just take a look below! Although the ice cream melted faster than I could snap a shot, so make sure you have your spoon ready if you'd rather eat than drink this.

I added two other trends to my outfit: Neon and Spikes. I've always been a fan of the neon trend and just recently been attracted to spiky accessories. What do you think of my zipper pull earrings? Oh and I must not forget my lil skull pin, check it out below, saw this lil baby at h&m and just had to have it.

CITY SLICKER STYLIN

With my continuos love for New York City comes this Taxi tee from Zara I just HAD to get it, and what happens when you buy new clothes you love and meet up with a fellow fashion blogger? Yup you got that right, Photo Styling comes about aka a PHOTOSHOOT :)

I met up with Shabana from The Silver Kick Diaries and before dinner we decided to have a mini shoot of our outfits and her cool convertible. I wore the Zara tee like I mentioned above, with a Mango Blazer and Skinny Jeans from Stradivarius. I also wore a beaded collar on top of the tee which I bought at the Autumn Fair last month. Collars have become a fave for me, it can instantly bring an outfit alive! Think about it, without the collar my outfit would have just been a jeans, top and blazer kinda outfit. I highly suggest investing in cool collars ;)

Loved the lil edge the beaded collar gave to the outfit, I just like to mix different elements when putting outfits together, don't you?

Queen of the concrete jungle *rawr*

When shooting in the convertible I went for a different feel with my Marilyn Monroe Scarf, I wanted a vintage feel like the old days when women would ride around with scarves on their heads and big shades (since it was night time I couldn't really put shades on but I do have another shoot in mind which will def include shades and you'll love it!)

BIRTHDAY BLUES

Hello Luvies,

Yes you read that right Birthday Blues! But not blues as in depressed blues but blues as in on my outfit! Another year another birthday but this time it's in Bahrain! For the past 5 years I've been living out of Bahrain therefore have not been able to celebrate it with friends and family here, not this year though. For my birthday I went to brunch at Riffa Views with my lovely parents then we decided to check out Al Basta Market. A little market by Riffa Views showcasing local business's that runs on weekends. They change the business's on the stalls every few months to give other business's a chance to showcase their things. Alas it's a very cute little setting, I recommend you to go have a look for yourself.

Ok back to my outfit, when shopping for a birthday outfit I was drawn to the color blue, I don't know why, I just was! So when putting an outfit together while shopping, it was very easy for me to put a look together as everything that was catching my eye was BLUE! I went for a navy blue gem printed dress with blue suede heels from Zara and a beautiful pearls and stones necklace and pearl bracelet from Seham's Collection. I loved the look! it was classy, elegant and cute.

how cute is this? love the colorful fake leaves!

We went to visit my sis after our lil basta market adventure and I put my lime flats on, had to rest my feet a lil bit :)

And finally my balloons!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them! My sis, owner of BalloonCreationz created them for me and I just LOVE them, the colors, the details! How cute is she for putting New York and the empire state building on one of the balloons? and the ballon weight is a sparkly HEEL, super cute!

And my lovely Fashionable earrings gifted by my bestie and her hubby, LOVE them, they're sooo me <3

And that wraps up my birthday celebrations, I leave you with my blue suede heels ;)

FASHION BRUNCHES ARE BACK

Hello Luvies,

Every month me and a very fashionable friend of mine take time to have brunch and discuss fashion, now since I was gone for a year, fashion brunches were paused but now that I'm back so are the brunches! I wore a vintage floral dress and a black blazer with white heels, I wanted to be comfortable but still stylish. Check out what I wore to our first fashion brunch :)
